Waleed Dahbour: 

Waleed Dahbour is a mechanical and aerospace engineering graduate from the University of California, Irvine, with nearly a decade of experience across engineering disciplines. While at UCI, he also contributed to biomedical engineering research, laying the groundwork for a diverse and technically robust career. He began his professional journey at Oakley as a test engineer and later entered the aerospace industry as a quality engineer, working with top-tier clients like Boeing, Rolls-Royce, GE, and several precision cast component manufacturers. He now serves as a manufacturing supervisor, leading operations and process improvement initiatives with a sharp eye for detail and efficiency.

Alongside his engineering career, Waleed has cultivated a long-standing and evolving passion for photography. What started as a creative outlet during his freshman year has grown into a professional pursuit marked by a diverse and expanding portfolio. His work spans internationally, with photography projects across Iceland, Europe, the Middle East, and Mexico. He has collaborated with world-class artists—many of whom have performed at iconic festivals such as EDC and Tomorrowland.

Waleed has developed a strong background in portrait, food, and product photography, spending years refining his skill set in each of these areas. More recently, he’s expanded his creative reach into videography, further enriching his storytelling capabilities. Today, he continues to push his creative boundaries while blending technical precision with an artist’s perspective, actively building a career rooted in both passion and craft.

Xeta (My Queen):

It was adoption day at a Riverside shelter, & I decided it was time to add a new member to my life. I knew exactly who I was looking for. As I walked into the shelter, I was instantly drawn to two white, blue-eyed huskies that looked like they had just leapt out of a snow-globe dream.

One of them was quiet, calm, sitting pretty in the corner like an angel. I thought, That one. I was thinking to myself “I’m pretty lucky” 

But then there was her sister—this whirlwind of fur and chaos. Sprinting across the play area, barking, twirling, absolutely unhinged. I remember thinking, “Cute but i already got enough chaos in my life”.

But the universe likes to play cruel games...

Another family ended up choosing the calm one. I watched her get scooped up and carried away, and suddenly I was left with… the little demon. I hesitated for a moment, but something inside me said, You came here to find someone. She’s still here. Maybe she’s yours.

So, I took her home. I named her Xeta.

The first few years?Absolute mayhem. She chewed everything—my shoes, my furniture, my sense of peace. She pooped in places I didn’t even know were reachable. She yapped endlessly. She was a tiny, fluffy tornado with blue eyes and no remorse.

But then the seasons passed.

And over the years, something beautiful happened. We grew together. She mellowed just enough, and I learned to embrace the chaos. She became my shadow, my comic relief, my therapist, my travel buddy—my constant.

Now, eight years later, she’s not just a dog. She’s my queen. The loud, wild, loving little soul that life knew I needed when I didn’t.

And I wouldn’t change a single chewed-up shoe in the world.
